Program Development Manager
Azis Pusakantara joined the Indonesian Institute for Energy Economics (IIEE) in 2012 as a Researcher. His research interest is in the area of energy modeling, energy subsidy, energy efficiency and renewable energy. He has been involved in various researches in the areas of Fossil-fuel subsidy reform, Indonesian 2050 pathway calculator, and development of Indonesian Integrated Energy, Economics and Environmental Modeling (I2E3M). The model development was performed in order to support “Background Study for the Mid-Term National Development Plan Year 2015-2019”. Prior to joining IIEE, He worked actively as a campaigner in the climate change mitigation and adaptation project under collaboration with Ministry of Environment. He also worked as a research analyst for the coastal and marine management projects.
He obtained his Master in Environmental Technology and Management from the Institut Teknologi Bandung in 2012 and received his Bachelor of Water Resources Management (with Honours) from the Universitas Padjadjaran in 2008. He attended International Training Programme on Micro Hydro Power for Rural Development and participated in Regional Training on Using the LEAP Model for Greenhouse Gas Mitigation Assessment. Furthermore he was selected to participate in one year Advanced International Training on Energy Efficiency Use and Planning organized by SIDA.
